LA based director/cinematographer. Pavel was born and raised in Russia. He started his career as a graphic designer and then transitioned into film. Pavel brought his visual sensibilities to his directing and cinematography. His first big project, a music video for North American electronic artist Lorn, got a nomination at SXSW and won UKMVA. i-D Magazine featured Pavel's film collective R113 in their article ‘Five directors shaping the future of music videos’. Pavel's work was featured by Rolling Stone Magazine, Vice, Paper Magazine, Flaunt, Nowness, Fader, Billboard, Directors Notes, Onepointfour and has won multiple Vimeo Staff Pick awards.
