While on the board for the Cannes Film Festival’s "Un Certain Regard" section, Alexander Coffre began working as an art director and commercial director of commercials at Quad. Now with more than a decade of commercial experience, Alexandre has worked with the full range of brands, winning an Epica and Effie for an integrated campaign he directed for the humanitarian aid service SamuSocial. When not directing commercials Alexandre devotes himself to features, directing well-observed family dramedy films "Une Pure Affaire," adapted from the novel "Powder" by Matthew Kneale and “Eyjafjallajökull” (the volcano) starring Danny Boon.
